Glen Elie graduated from Bournemouth College, where his talent was recognised early. He was awarded
the accolade of most promising student of his year. On returning from 6 months industrial release in
a 1 Michelin star restaurant in France, he was offered a position at the Chewton Glen prestigious hotel at
the age of 17. Glen then went on to work for a total of three and half years in France at the following restaurants: |

On returning to England, Glen worked for Albert Roux at Le Gavroche, 3 star Michelin restaurant in Mayfair,
London. In 1990 Albert Roux then placed Glen at Hanbury Manor, Hertfordshire, where after only 2 years,
he achieved 4 AA Rosettes for the Zodiac gourmet restaurant.
In 1998 Glen bought a run-down bistro in Truro, Cornwall, which, after just 4 months, he turned around and two
years later sold for a considerable profit. After marrying his wife Christine, Glen returned to Dorset to start a family.
His next challenge was then the brand new Harbour Heights Hotel, where he created an enviable reputation for
fine dining and achieving 2 AA Rosettes after just one year.
